  • This week's local feature album is In the Allure from @moanamseic.

Moana - the project of local singer-songwriter Moana Mayatrix - have been a favourite on the local live scene for years now, and after 18 months, have unleashed their debut album of alt-art-rock, Into the Allure. Their nine track debut album is almost a concept album of sorts, exploring divine femininity and the dualistic essence of nature, both its beauty and brutality, told through Mayatrix's poetic, commanding vocals, while musically fusing the aforementioned art and alt rock with elements from metal, industrial, psychedelic and even electronic genres in a heavy, engaging package.
